Office Space for IT Start-Up

People & Business

A workplace is a complex structure, but if you cut to the core, there are really only two crucial purposes of a workplace: 1. it must allow for people to thrive, stay healthy, feel engaged and to interact with each other in positive ways, and 2. it must support the valuable work processes that underpin business. This double focus is the pillar of this workplace design.

Spatial Organization

The spatial organisation revolves around 3 types of zones: non-shared, semi-shared and fully shared zones. The non-shared zones are smaller areas containing assigned desks, and these zones are separated by semi-shared zones, containing unassigned desks, meeting pods, large work tables and individual work pods, which are shared by the adjoining departments. At each end of the floor as well as along walking zones are fully shared functions such as larger meeting rooms and spaces for socialising and resting.

Aesthetic Identity

The aesthetics of the workplace strive to communicate the casual and people-focused yet professional and business-minded identity of the company. Natural and soft materials such as wood and textiles adds softness and warmth, the raw, exposed concrete adds a sense of unpretentiousness and the transparency of rippled glass creates visual connection and a sense of cohesion across departments. Unique lamps and contemporary furniture in bright colours tell a story about forward-thinking and bold decision-makers.
